- I’m a freelance journalist with a background in newspapers, radio and PR. I’ve been a reporter, a broadcast journalist and a media officer. I ran the RSPB’s South West regional press office for five years. I'm based in Devon, where I live with my partner, his two daughters and a border collie called Jake. I sometimes also work from London. I'm a nosey parker who likes listening to other people's conversations in the hope of finding good stories to write up. I've written a lot about birds and wildlife, but that isn't all there is to me. I am interested in (and can write about) everything from mental health issues, families, step parenting and relationships to music (folk, acoustic, rock, pop and indie), real ale and what it feels like to stamp on a Crunchie - and everything else in between.
